Fort LeBoeuf doubles up Warren softball

Fort LeBoeuf scored 14 runs from the third inning on, culminating with 5 in the top of the seventh, in a 14-7 non-region comeback win over Warren on Tuesday.

The Lady Dragons (0-4) jumped out to a 3-0 first-inning lead with hits from Carly Beers and Alanna Warrior.

After the Bison cut the lead to 3-2, Warren added 3 more runs in the bottom of the third. Halle Kuzminski started the inning with a single, and after Emma Gray walked for the second time, Miken Beers and Lilly Devore had big two-out base hits for a 6-2 lead.

Alana Stuart came around to score in the fourth to make it 7-3 Warren.

After that, it was all Fort LeBoeuf. The Bison scored 3 in the fifth and 3 more in the sixth to chase Stuart from the circle. LeBoeuf added 5 runs on 5 hits in the seventh to cap the comeback.

Miken Beers finished with 2 hits for Warren, and “Emma Gray had a really nice all-around game and Lexi Hoffman made some nice diving stops at shortstop,” said head coach Carissa Stuart.
