Mary Conarro was recently honored by the Conewango Valley Women’s Golf Association for her achievements and contributions to women’s golf spanning more than 75 years.

Mary learned to play golf from her father when she was 15 years old. She won her first tournament, the Metropolitan Junior Girls Championship, just one year later at age 16. In 1962, Mary formed the first Warren County Women’s Golf Open, which was held until 2012. A winner of that tournament 20 times, Mary was also the runner-up in the Pennsylvania State Women’s Amateur Golf Championship in both 1964 and 1965. She took the championship title in 1988.

In addition, Mary has claimed 28 Women’s Club Championships at CVCC. In 1983, Mary set the course record, shooting 71 (2-under par), a record that hasn’t been touched in 41 years.

Starting at $2.99/week.
