“Another great match and a big win against one of the best teams around,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan, whose Dragons put away the Bulldogs in close 25-22, 25-23, 25-23 games. “When a team has a finisher like they do in Emma Parks, you have to do what you can to limit the damage she can do and take advantage of opportunities on our side. I feel like we did that with some great scrambling plays and some huge swings from Maddy Jones and Madelyn Nosel.”

Jones finished with 18 kills, 13 digs and three aces, and Nosel had 15 kills and six digs.

“Lindsay Madigan’s athleticism kept us in a lot of points as well, and our middles got after the blocks, getting lots of touches,” added Dolan. “Our back row defense was tough as well; we didn’t allow many off-speed shots to drop. It’s nice to grind out a big Region 5 win like this with everyone contributing. Hopefully this boosts our confidence and we continue to improve as the season progresses.”

The setter, Madigan contributed 32 assists, nine digs, five kills and two aces; Julia Getner had six digs; (libero) Malysia Sorensen 18 digs and three assists; Lilly Newton three kills and a block; Attie Corey two blocks; and Sophie Walker four digs and an ace.
