Steinberg-led Knights top Youngsville
YOUNGSVILLE — Eisenhower scored the first 19 points and never looked back during a 60-24 nonregion victory over the Youngsville Eagles on Tuesday at Youngsville High School.
Clara Steinberg led a trio of Lady Knights in double figures with 19 points. Laney Font scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Miranda Gates finished with 15 points. Lainey Belcher and Tracey Jakubczak also scored for the winners.
The Eagles were led by junior Riley Robinault, who scored 20 of Youngsville’s 24 points. Sophomore Lilly Jespersen had the other 4 points for the hosts.
Both teams are back in action Thursday. The Lady Knights will host Girard while Youngsville will entertain Commodore Perry.
