8 Dragons medal at Tool City

MEADVILLE — Eight Warren wrestlers earned top-eight finishes on Saturday at the annual Tool City tournament at Meadville Area Senior High School.

Cole Fitzgerald was fifth at 107 pounds, Aidan Sweet eighth at 114, Adika Fiscus fourth at 133, Cam Williams sixth at 139, Carter Campbell fifth at 152, Conner Zaffino eighth at 160, Sebastian Oyola fifth at 172 and Izaya Conklin fifth at 189.

Warren tied Eisenhower for seventh place out of 15 teams competing with 94.5 points each.

“It was nice to see some new faces grab some hardware,” said Warren coach Glenn Baldensperger. “Our kids are young and working hard. Now that we are through the holidays, we can get ready for a busy January. This week, we have a real tough Corry team away on Wednesday and then another solid team in Titusville, who took second this past weekend at Tool City. We then have our annual Tyler Stufflebeam elementary tournament this Saturday.”

Titusville (197.5 points) was a distant second to Fort LeBoeuf, who won with 308 points in competing at Tool City for the first time since 2020.
