Dragons win 4th straight, 53-22 over Seneca
Warren’s boys basketball team jumped out to a 19-2 first quarter en route to a 53-22 Region 5 win over Seneca on Tuesday at Warren Area High School.
Chase Sitler and Leihden Wotorson scored 7 points apiece, and Logan Crissey 5, for all 19 in the opening quarter. In fact, those three had 43 of Warren’s first 46 points before being subbed out.
“We used a big 20-6 third quarter to push it out of reach with Logan getting 10 and Chase netting 7,” said Warren coach Jeff Berdine of the Dragons’ fourth-straight win.
Warren, which had 10 3-pointers, is 12-3 overall and 8-1 in Region 5.
After a win at Titusville on Jan. 14, Seneca has lost four in a row and is 2-15 overall and 1-8 in the region.

“We only had nine turnovers for the game with 3 of them in the last half of the fourth quarter,” said Berdine, whose Dragons are next at Titusville on Friday.
Crissey finished with 16 points for Warren, Sitler 14 and Wotorson 13 in the win.
Seneca didn’t have a player in double figures and didn’t score double figures in any quarter.
Earlier on Tuesday, 10 Dragons scored — led by 8 points each from Max Spiegel and Landon Wood — in Warren’s 41-16 junior varsity win.
