SHARON — For Warren’s Adika Fiscus, it’s all about moving on. On Saturday, the senior 127-pounder finished fifth at the District 10 2A Wrestling Championships at Sharon High School to return there this weekend for the Northwest Regional 2A Tournament.
Fiscus was 4-2 on Saturday and is 88-37 in his four-year high school career. His freshman season ended early due to injury, but he’s advanced to regionals every year since.
Saturday was no exception as the top eight in each weight class advanced. Fiscus (30-10) started and ended the tournament with technical fall victories, including 21-4 in 4:40 over General McLane’s Mason McDonald in the fifth-place match.
“I have been there before, so I have an idea of what it’s like and how to calm my nerves,” said Fiscus. “I definitely had a lot of fun these past four years, but that makes it that much more important to me to perform to my fullest. To answer your question, my goal is to simply keep wrestling and punch my ticket to states. Just because it’s regionals, I can’t treat it any different from just a regular tournament. I have to keep focused and just wrestle.
“Wrestling has been a major component in my life, with the people and the opportunities it has brought me,” added Fiscus. “I will be forever grateful to the sport and the lessons it has taught me. I also do want to pursue the sport at the collegiate level, but I’m not sure where yet.”

EISENHOWER’S CAUDILL MOVES ON
SHARON — Eisenhower’s Rever Caudill finished fourth at Saturday’s District 10 2A Championships to advance to regionals for the first time.
As a sophomore, Caudill is no stranger to the big stage, having qualified for the Keystone State Wrestling Championships in junior high, and the D10 2A Tournament the past two seasons.
“Rever has had a solid year, especially for a sophomore,” said Eisenhower coach Jared Lindell. “He is 29-10 on the year. We’re proud to have Rever representing Eisenhower wrestling at Regionals. Even though it’s individual postseason, he didn’t get where he is without his teammates and workout partners.”
Caudill advanced to the 114-pound semifinals with an 18-3 (3:18) technical fall victory over Cambridge Springs’ Colton Hoover and second-period pin (2:19) over Sharpsville’s David Miller.
After being pinned by Reynolds’ Angelo Lomonte, Caudill advanced to the third-place match with an 11-4 decision over Saegertown’s Isaac Huya. He suffered a technical fall at the hands of Titusville’s Isaac Roberts to finish fourth.
“There’s a bit of a gap we need to close between Rever and the top three the last two weeks,” said Lindell. “He’s most likely going to have to beat one of them to move on, and some guys out of D9, too. I believe he can do it. We have some things we can build off of from this weekend, clean up some mistakes. He’s a great kid.”
Caudill isn’t satisfied.
“Making regions is huge to me because I have put in a lot of work and effort to get better and improve myself since last year,” he said. “This confirms how all that work has paid off. Making it to regionals does make me happy, but I am not content with that, as my real goal is to make it to states. I will have some very challenging competition at regionals, and it will be hard to make it to states, but I’m going to give it my all.”
