CONNEAUT, Ohio — Warren’s girls wrestling team was eighth out of 38 teams at this weekend’s Lady Spartans Invitational in Conneaut, Ohio.

Leading the way, Madisyn Flores and Bryndalyn Lindell each finished second and Abbie Darr and Kendall Moore both fourth in their respective weight classes.

“Everyone got a bunch of matches,” said Warren coach Dennis Johnson. “Bryn and Abbie wrestled their best to date. … Abbie is trying different moves and scored with a fireman’s carry, and just became more determined. Flores was very close to beating the girl who won.”

Coach James Wiles added, “I’m very proud of how the girls performed with the tough competition and also how they improve from week to week. We have a great group of girls and now we will work hard and get ready for districts.”
