Youngsville girls fall to Cochranton

YOUNGSVILLE — It’s the end of an era.

Cochranton (16-6, 12-2 Region 2) defeated Youngsville 55-4 in girls basketball Friday at Youngsville High School in the final varsity contest to be held in the YHS gym.

The deck was stacked against the Eagles from the onset with the Cardinals entering looking to lock up the second seed in Region 2. The Eagles were held without a point until the final minute of the first half when junior Riley Robinault got a bucket to fall.

Cardinals senior Eve Pfeiffer put on a shooting clinic, knocking down six 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 23 points despite playing only three quarters.

Robinault had all 4 points for the Eagles who finish their final season in program history with a record of 2-20.
