The Eisenhower boys third- and fourth-grade grade basketball team recently won the championship of the Jamestown Youth Basketball League. The Knights entered the season-ending tournament as the No. 3 seed. After defeating the No. 2 seed, Eisenhower found itself in the championship game vs. the No. 1 seed. The title contest was close throughout, but the Knights won in dramatic fashion when Alex Frederick hit the game-winning shot in overtime. Eisenhower is coached by Cassie Rockwell and Jamie Frederick. “This has been a very rewarding season, not only for the competitive play to win the championship, but to see the growth of each of the boys throughout the season,” Frederick said. “Both of us are very proud of each of the boys.” In the photo are Grayson Mitchell, Alex Frederick, Chase Chamberlin, Landon Bowers, Coach Jamie Frederick, Calvin Weldon, Logan Peerson, Chase Littlefield, Michael McElhaney, Noah Kellogg and Aaron Davis. Missing are Coach Cassi Rockwell and Kaden Rockwell.
