Warren’s baseball team fell to 0-5 with an 8-0 loss to visiting Bradford on Monday at Old Legion Field.
Errors again did Warren in as starting pitcher Broc Bryan, a freshman making his first varsity start, allowed five runs, but just one earned, on six hits over five innings.
“Today was another prime example of not going into the day with the plan to stick to the fundamentals and play with energy,” said Warren coach John White. “It’s a culture we have to change and, unfortunately, it’s always a pretty slow process. We’re an extremely young team and the youth has been showing as of late. Tough to battle that youth with the way the weather has been, but we need to survive and adapt. It’s not going to be an easy fix.”
Five errors were even tougher to overcome against Bradford senior starter Talan Reese, who threw a one-hit shutout, striking out 14 batters without a walk.
