Ike suffers setback to Northwestern
The Eisenhower baseball team could not hold on to a late lead as Northwestern rallied and scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a 10-8 victory over the Knights on Thursday.
Jarius Casey paced Eisenhower from the clean-up spot, going 2-of-3 with three RBIs. Caleb Jakubczak also went 2-for-3 with an RBI; Wyatt Neal was perfect in the lead-off spot with two hits, two walks and an RBI: and Griffin Liliana and Carson Ferman also had RBIs.
Garrett Williams took the loss for Eisenhower. The right-hander gave up 10 runs on 13 hits, struck out four and walked two.
Eisenhower gets the weekend off before it welcomes Union City to Werner Park on Monday for a 4 p.m. game.
