Steinberg, who was recently named to the District 9-10 All-Region team, averaged 23.1 points per game and finished second in the district. In addition, her 3-point shooting prowess carried her to the third-place spot in all of Pennsylvania with 75 makes, just two shots behind the leader.

Font, meanwhile, averaged 14.1 points per game and connected on 62 3-point goals, which was third in District 10.

Both girls will be looking to place their names in the record books next year. Steinberg needs 464 points to become Eisenhower’s career scoring leader, while Font needs 179 points to join the 1,000-point club.

“Both girls work extremely hard and are complete team players,” Knights head coach DJ Steinberg said. “They set an example for our young players in the program to look up to. I am excited for them to see what they and the team can accomplish next season.”

Eisenhower returned to the PIAA state basketball playoffs this season after a 16-year absence. With all five starters returning, the future looks bright for them to improve on their 17-9 record.
