Sitler to play in another senior all-star game Sunday
For the second straight Sunday, Warren’s Chase Sitler will play in a high school senior all-star basketball game.
Sitler was “drafted” to play for Team Francis in the 2025 Scenic Rivers YMCA/YDL Sports Network District 9/10 All-Star Game at 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the Clarion County YMCA.
“This will be the fifth year we’ve put it on, but it’s a continuation, or adaptation, of a game Chris Rossetti and Rich Rhoades were doing for (District 9) prior to COVID,” said Brian Hagberg of the YDL Sports Network. “It was a fairly popular game before, and we wanted to not only bring it back, but incorporate D10 players as well. We also added the draft as a way to differentiate ourselves from other games and give the kids a chance to mix things up a bit.”
Also serving as a fundraiser for the Clarion County YMCA, “We ask coaches for nominations, and then players are selected based on internal evaluation (by the YDL staff) and discussions with coaches and (athletic directors) across the districts.”
A girls’ senior all-star game will tip off at 2 p.m. at the Clarion County YMCA with the boys’ game to follow.
