Clara Steinberg can add one more honor to what she has already earned with this week’s announcement of the 2025 Pennsylvania Sports Writers all-state basketball teams.
Steinberg, an Eisenhower junior guard, was named to the Class 2A second team with players from across the state.
Steinberg led the Knights in scoring with 22.5 points per game. She also averaged 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.8 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per game.
For Steinberg, this announcement comes in addition to her being named to the Region 3 first team, along with all-district and D9/D10 honors as well.
Along with the other four junior starters for Eisenhower, Steinberg led the team back to their third consecutive postseason appearance and a return to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state playoffs after a 16-year absence. Eisenhower finished with a 17-9 overall record and a 7-6 record in Region 3.
“I’m happy for Clara,” said DJ Steinberg, Clara’s head coach and father. “She loves the game of basketball and has worked tirelessly on her game. She has already started her offseason workouts for her senior year. I’m very proud of her.”
Clara Steinberg will be on a mission next year. She is less than 500 points from the Eisenhower career scoring record currently held by Elisha Jones at 1,822 points.
